I often get asked about the different tools and resources I use in my business. After a lot of trial and error (and wasted money!), I’ve found some AMAZING resources that keep me sane, increase my income, and best of all, allow me to spend more time and energy doing what I love (supporting all of you!). I hope this list of biz resources helps you to work smarter, not harder. Go get ’em tiger.
Email Newsletter: ActiveCampaign*
ActiveCampaign is a great investment. It’s easy to use, the analytics are great, and the automations are amazing. Being able to set up clean and useful automations is super important to me. ActiveCampaign integrates with almost everything, which makes it really useful. They have an awesome and responsive support desk.
Online Membership Platform: MemberVault*
This is a great one-stop-shop for all things online courses and membership sites. Super easy to use and intuitive for clients. Bonus: the support team is really fun to work with.
Graphic Design: Canva
I use Canva to design all my posts for Instagram.
I love that I can send contracts, invoice for workshops, set up recurring payment plans, and track projects all in one platform!
Payments Platform: MoonClerk
MoonClerk has made collecting payments for products and courses so easy. The platform is beautiful and intuitive. You can use coupon codes and set up fancy integrations in just a few clicks. My conversion rate has increased thanks to MoonClerk.
Payment Processing: Stripe
Stripe is a more merchandiser-friendly option than Paypal and I appreciate the platform better. Great for online businesses.
Legal: Lisa Fraley’s DIY Templates*
Lisa is the breath of fresh air you’ve been looking for when it comes to handling the legal stuff in your biz. She aligns the law with the chakras and has created AMAZING and easy-to-follow templates that make laying the foundation of your business straightforward (and even a little fun!).
Website Host: ShowIt
Say goodbye to coding! ShowIt offers an AMAZING drag and drop option for website building. The backend is intuitive and it integrates with WordPress so you get all the benefits of analytics, blogging, etc. without the hassle of coding. Horray! The support team is super responsive and always great to work with. HUGE fan.
I would not survive without Zapier! Zapier helps me make all of my different tools speak to each other. A lot of the “zaps” are free, which is amazing.
Video Conferencing: Zoom*
I love Zoom! It makes video conferencing with clients, team members, and partners super easy. You can record, chat, and strip the audio for any meeting. It integrates with Google Calendar so it’s easy to send calendar invites that include your custom Zoom link.
Project Management: Asana
Asana is a great (free) project management software goes. I am a visual person so I prefer the “Board” view (vs. the “List” view). It’s an especially great tool if you are collaborating with other people.
Great for communicating with other team members and taking one-off conversations out of email.
If you are curious to see how much time you spend on what, this (free) time-tracking tool is for you. It is a million times better than trying to track time on sticky-notes or Excel.
Calendar Scheduling: Calendly
This is a great tool for anyone who spends a lot of time booking appointments. It also helps you manage time zones and set boundaries with your clients.
Note Taking: Evernote
I dump all of my random thoughts, client notes, and curriculum outlines into this baby. It’s password protected and more searchable than Google Docs.
Screenshots: Skitch by Evernote
I take a lot of screenshots and this simple tool saves my life.
* All of these resources I highly recommend – after all, I use each of them in my business every day. If you sign up through my referral links with the asterisks, I may receive credit or commissions for your purchase, and I thank you in advance.
