Word of the Week: Effortless
I’ve been low-grade working on a website overhaul and rebrand since last September. It’s been on my “to do” list for months but other priorities kept cropping up. I was also 100% overcomplicating things in my mind about what needed to be done for this seemingly massive project.
As a Manifesting Generator with a Sacral Authority (who else here loves Human Design?!), I’ve learned it’s pretty useless for me to push myself to do something when I’m not feeling it. As annoying as it is, I need to wait until I get a resounding YES from my sacral chakra before I make any big decisions or move forward with important projects.
That doesn’t mean I sit around waiting for the YES, though. For example, with the website overhaul, I kept myself busy doing prep work so when I got the YES, I could run with it. I did things like sending out the feedback survey to the Monday Vibes community back in November (thank you again to everyone who responded!), arranging a full-day branding photoshoot, getting lot of my technical questions answered about how to make the website changes when I was ready, and teeing up the digital marketer on my team to start thinking about new website copy.
And then I waited (while I worked on other projects ).
Sure enough, one morning I woke up in late January with a feeling in my gut like “Today is the day!” I cleared everything from my schedule and worked for practically two days straight on the updates (that’s typical for me and my Human Design…we can manifest super quickly when we wait for the right time to harness our energy). And ta-da! I had a brand new site.
The whole process felt so good and fun and effortless. Zero stress.
Not only is this a little plug for Human Design but also a reminder that we all have different working styles. It’s important to tune into your own rhythms and trust that when you are operating from the most aligned place, you can bring massive projects to life in a way that feels fun and effortless. Work does not have to be so hard.
Ask Yourself: When in your life have you worked on a project and it felt fun and effortless? How about when you worked on a project that felt hard and draining? What was different about how you approached these two projects?
Weekly Mantra: Work can feel effortless.
